STRATEGIES FOR REACHING THE MUSLIM POPULATION

The Muslim Mindset: 3 Core Pillars

1-The Universal Agenda:

Every Muslim is a missionary (Dawah) by default.

2- The Holistic System :

A Muslim believes their faith should govern every aspect of live, the community and the law.

3- The Superiority Complex :

The ideological struggle of being "under" a non-Muslim authority, as their identity is built on being the head and not the tail.

The 3 Golden Bridges : Connecting Common Ground to Gospel Truth

Bridge 1: The Virgin Birth (The Unique Origin)

Common Ground: The Quran confirms Jesus was born of a virgin (Surah Maryam 16-20).

The Question: "Why did God choose this miraculous birth for Jesus alone among all prophets?"

Bridge 2: The Sinless One (The Perfect Character)

Common Ground: Jesus is described as "Pure" and "Faultless" (Zakiya) (Surah Maryam 19).

The Question: "If all other prophets asked for forgiveness, why is Jesus uniquely sinless?"

Bridge 3: The Living Savior (The Current Reality)

Common Ground: The Quran refers to Jesus being raised to Heaven and being alive today (Surah Al-Imran 55).

The Question: "Who is more capable of hearing your heart today: a prophet in a grave, or the Savior who is alive in Heaven?"

The Spiritual Midwifery: Drawing Out the Truth

Definition: to help the person "give birth" to the truth through strategic questioning rather than preaching.

The Power of the Question: Jesus asked over 300 questions in the Gospels; questions bypass defensiveness and force the mind to think.

Goal: Moving from "Winner of an Argument" to "Seeker of the Heart".

The Principle: Seek to understand before being understood (Active Listening).

Strategic Questions (Applied SM)

On Christ’s Nature: "Since the Quran calls Jesus 'The Word of God,' is God’s Word part of His eternal essence or something created later?"

On Sacrifice: "If the Quran and Bible agree that Jesus was uniquely 'pure' and 'sinless,' why did God keep Him perfect while all other prophets needed forgiveness?"

On the Living Savior: "We visit the graves of prophets to honor them. But since Jesus is alive in Heaven right now, who is more capable of hearing and answering your heart today?"

On Assurance: "In Islam, there is no certainty of salvation until the final scale. How does it feel to know that Jesus offers a guaranteed peace Today?”

On Miracles : In your understanding, who is the only One with the power to create life out of nothing and bring the dead back to life?

Common Objections & Graceful Responses

Objection 1: "The Bible has been corrupted (Tahreef)."

SM : "When exactly was it changed?

If God is Almighty, would He allow His Word to be lost or corrupted by men?"

Objection 2: "Jesus is not the Son of God; God has no partners."

SM : "We agree! God doesn't have a biological son. But if the Quran calls Him 'His Word', can the Word of God be separate from God Himself?“

Virgin = Son

Objection 3: "Jesus was not crucified; it was someone else who looked like him."

SM: "If God is just, would He deceive the disciples and the world for 600 years? Why did Jesus say 'Peace be upon me the day I die' in your own book?"

Objection 4: "Why do you worship three Gods (The Trinity)?"

SM: "We worship One God. Just as the Sun has light and heat but remains one Sun, God is Father, Word, and Spirit—One in Essence."

How to be a "Person of Peace"

DO:

Be Sincere: Show genuine love and interest in them as people, not just "projects".

Practice Hospitality: Invite them for a meal; spiritual walls often melt around a dinner table.

Pray Boldly: Offer to pray for their sickness or needs in Jesus' name; expect the supernatural.

Listen More: Use active listening to understand their personal "version" of Islam

DON’T:

Don't Argue: Avoid "foolish and ignorant disputes" that only breed strife.

Don't Criticize: Never attack their Prophet or the Quran; it closes the door immediately.

Don't Rush: Building trust takes time. Be patient and wait for the Spirit’s timing.

Don't use "Christianese": Avoid complex jargon. Use simple terms they understand.
